Concept
Since February 2014, the city of Lecce has a new Residence, located in via G. Candido n.20, near the historic center, a few minutes walk from the most important monuments, the Movida and the shopping streets. At 500 meters from the property there is the junction to easily reach the sea in a few minutes, whether it is the Adriatic or the Ionian Sea.
Both the name and the concept of the structure revolve around the theme of classical mythology, from which our culture is fueled.
Two adjacent entrances open onto Via G. Candido, one of which leads to the courtyard and to the various apartments and the other to the Garage slide.
Quiet atmosphere
The structure is owned by the Leo family, who bought a building plot in the early 1980s, deciding, in 2010, to build an accommodation facility, with a construction site that lasted almost three years.
The philosophy of the Leo family, of the engineer Nicola Baglivi and of the Ingrosso company, responsible for the construction of the structure, is that of a holistic place, designed to create an original home setting for your trip.
The building was built with anti-seismic solutions and which allow a high degree of thermal and acoustic insulation.
Moreover, despite being close to the historic center, you can enjoy a quiet, peaceful atmosphere surrounded by greenery.
An important aspect of the structure's choice concerns the use of clean and technologically advanced energy sources, designed to contain energy consumption and pollution. The VRV air conditioning system is zero emission, heat pump (RXYQ16P9). The domestic water heating uses the Ariston nuos 250 heat pump system with anti-legionella sterilization. Photovoltaic panels contribute to energy supply.
The business ethics inspires the owners' daily work to respect the environmental and cultural context and rejects standardized formulas of hospitality, preferring a familiar and welcoming atmosphere.
The automated system controls the heating and cooling delivery parameters for each environment.
Access to the rooms is managed with an EPS locking system, with an extended profile, with four levels of security and protection against unauthorized duplication of keys. The alarm and surveillance system, present inside and outside the structure, has remote telematic control.
The kitchens in the living room are equipped with ceramic glass plates, which allow you to cook quickly and without heat loss, refrigerator with freezer, electric oven.
Il Cortile is the ideal place to linger and sip a cup of coffee or a cold drink in the soft light of the wall spotlights.
In the courtyard, the staircase with an elegant white railing and travertine steps, evokes the archetype of the intimate refuge, can replace the elevator or the internal staircase, in the connection between the living room and the sleeping area.
The choice of name
was born from the classic culture of the owners and from the intention to cultivate the same in the editorial choices of the bookshop present in the structure.
Having made this choice, for consistency, inside, each of the suites bears the name of mythological characters, with some canvases and citations in the rooms.
There are, however, frescoes with mythological themes. Wall mosaics are located in the Courtyard. The floors are in pearl gray granite effect or travertine effect porcelain stoneware, flanked, in some rooms, by light walnut colored birch wood parquet.
Management
The owner's daughter Sara, a graduate in Biology with a master's degree in data manager, is in charge of the structure, particularly trained in the culture of hospitality, by family tradition. His obvious qualities are enthusiasm, passion and attention to detail.
Sara shared the project from the very beginning, taking care of it in every detail and drawing inspiration from three fundamental qualities: cleanliness, reliability and courtesy.
The design of the structure, according to the wishes of the owners, had as its objective the aggregation and family attendance. Home sweet home, comfortable, pleasant and malleable place, harmonious shelter, daily starting point for the sea and the discovery of Salento.
